BRUNSWICK, Me. - Junior Lindsay Walker (Castlegar, BC) fired a
two-round 155 to place seventh individually as the 2010-11 Tufts
golf team opened a new season by finishing eighth at the nine-team
Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
The Tufts team finished with a two-day total of 666 strokes, 11
out of fifth place. The four best Jumbo scores added up to 329 on
Saturday, and on Sunday it was 337.
Walker shot a 75 on Sunday for the best Tufts round of the
weekend. He had hit 80 on Saturday. Senior Cal Shapiro (Larchmont,
NY) had the best Jumbo round on Saturday with a 79. He had a
two-day 165. That two day score was matched by senior Dan Moll
(Newton, MA) at 82-83-165.
Coach Bob Sheldon's team plays next at the Duke Nelson
Invitational hosted by Middlebury College next weekend (Sept.
18-19).
