TUFTS GOLF TEAM PLACES 22ND AT MIDDLEBURY'S ANNUAL DUKE NELSON INVITATIONAL

MIDDLEBURY, VT - The Tufts golf team placed 22nd at the 28th annual Duke Nelson Invitational held on Saturday and Sunday at Middlebury College's par 71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course.

Tufts compiled a two-day total of 669 strokes. After their four best scores totaled 341 on Saturday, they were 13 strokes better on Sunday with a 328 final.

Sophomore Seb Vik (Oslo, Norway) led the Jumbos on both days, shooting an 80 and a 79. His 159 total tied for 57th individually. On Sunday, Harrison Odaniell shot 82, freshman John Wawer (Litchfield, CT) had an 83 and Wawer finished at 84.

Skidmore College won the Invitational with a 588 score, 19 better than second place Williams College. Skidmore's Anthony Dilisio was the individual medalist at an even par 142 (72-70).

The Jumbos play at the Williams Invitaitonal next weekend (Sept. 24-25).
