Rubine, Dahlman Compete at College Squash Association Individual Championships to Finish Season

AMHERST - Jumbos Jessica Rubine (Cranston, RI) and Paige Dahlman (Denver, CO) of the women's squash team played at the 2012 College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships hosted by Amherst College this weekend.

Entered in the Holleran Division B draw, Rubine played a round of 64 match on Friday morning and lost 11-4, 11-0, 11-6 to Sarah Crosky from Brown. After receiving a bye in the first consolation bracket round, she then lost 11-4, 11-5, 11-2 to Mary Foster from Wesleyan on Saturday to get eliminated.

Dahlman also got into the Holleran Division as an alternate, replacing second-seed Kyla Sherwood from Stanford. Sherwood had a bye in the first round, but withdrew from the tournament due health problems. Dahlman stepped in and received the round of 64 bye. She then faced Torey Lee from Bowdoin in the round of 32 and lost 11-5, 11-5, 11-3. In a second-round consolation match on Saturday, Dahlman dropped an 11-9, 11-3, 11-4 match against Aditi Miliwal from Stanford.

The individual championships finish the 2011-12 season for Jumbo women's squash.
