Golfers Place 14th at Worcester State's Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational on Tuesday

Matt Lesnik had Tufts' best round at Blackstone National

SUTTON - Freshman Matt Lesnik's 83 led the Tufts golf team at the Rich Korzec Memorial Invite hosted by Worcester State University at Blackstone National Golf Club on Tuesday. The Jumbos finished 14th.

Western New England won the tournament with a total of 309 strokes. Tufts' four best scores totaled 361. They were two strokes behind 13th place MCLA.

Bentley's Harry Kirkpatrick was the individual medalist, shooting two-over par 74.

Lesnik went out in 41 and came in at 42 for his team-best 83. Freshman Jay Wong (Darien, CT) scored second for the Jumbos at 42-43-85. Sophomore Alex Zorniger (Dayton, OH) and freshman Kyle McGrail (Wakefield, MA) also contributed to the Jumbo team score.
