BRUNSWICK, ME - Junior Alex Zorniger (Dayton, OH) is tied for ninth individually after shooting a five-over par 77 on the first day of the Bowdoin Invitational Saturday. The Jumbos are eighth as a team with a 326 score.
Sophomore Matt Lesnik's 81 was the second-best total for Tufts. Junior John Wawer (Litchfield, CT) and sophomores Brendan Koh (Singapore) and Jay Wong (Darien, CT) all posted 84's.
The Husson University golf team holds a one-stroke lead after day one. The Eagles carded a team score of 305 to lead second-place Middlebury (306) with Williams (309) and Southern Maine (309) tied for third place overall. Individually, Southern Maine's Tom Murray was the only player under par with a one-under 71.
