CRANSTON, RI - Tufts Golf is 14th out of 19 teams after one day at the Wildcats Spring Invitational hosted by Johnson & Wales University at the par-71 Cranston Country Club on Saturday.
Tufts' four-best scores totaled to 346 strokes on Saturday. They are five behind 13th place host Johnson & Wales (341) and six back of 12th place UMass Dartmouth (340). Tufts is three in front of Southern Maine (349) heading into Sunday's play.
Senior Brendan Koh led the Jumbos with a +9 80 on Saturday, tied for 13th individually. Classmate Jay Wong scored second on the team with an 83. Sophomore Aaron Corn shot an 88 and Justin Feldman recorded a 95.
Rhode Island College (RIC) leads the tournament after one day at 315 strokes. They are five in front of second-place Williams College (320). RIC's Jonathan Cooper is the individual leader with a one-over 72.
