Aaron Corn's 79 on Sunday was Tufts' best score of the weekend |
CRANSTON, RI - Tufts shot 12 strokes better on Sunday than they had on Saturday and moved up a position to tie for 13th at Johnson & Wales University's Wildcats Spring Golf Invitational.
The Jumbos' four-best scores totaled 334 strokes on Sunday. They had a 346 total on Saturday for a combined 680. Tufts tied with UMass Dartmouth for 13th, six strokes in front of 15th-place Elms College (686). Play was held at the par-71 Cranston Country Club.
Aaron Corn's 79 led Tufts on Sunday, followed by an 83 from Jay Wong, and 86's by Brendan Koh and Justin Feldman.
Koh (80-86) and Wong (83-83) both tied for 43rd individually with 166 scores for the two-day tournament. Corn totaled 167 and Feldman 181.
Williams College won the tournament with a 630 team score, six strokes ahead of Endicott College's 636 score. Jonathan Cooper was the individual medalist with a 72-77-149.
The tournament concluded the 2015-16 golf season for the Jumbos.
