NORTON, Mass. – Freshman standouts Grace Goetcheus and Hannah Truslow of the Tufts University women's swimming & diving team recorded three first-place finishes, respectively, on Saturday, as the Jumbos totaled 12 first-place finishes during a 174-121 victory in dual-meet action against Wheaton in Norton, Massachusetts.

The Jumbos' relay units posted a couple first-place finishes, as Goetcheus, senior captain Amanda Gottschalk, junior Jess Lee and senior captain Sophia Lin formed the Jumbos' "A" team in the 200-yard medley relay, finishing in first overall (11 points) with a time of 1:52.25. Freshman Brooke Bernstein, Truslow, Lee and Lin tallied a time of 1:42.20 in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as the "A" squad was the first team to touch the wall in the event.
Goetcheus collected a pair of first-place honors in individual events, which came in 200-yard freestyle (2:01.86, nine points) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:35.66, nine points). Truslow garnered first-place recognition in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.14, nine points) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:20.29, nine points).
Lin grabbed a first-place nod in the 50-yard freestyle (25.42, nine points), while sophomore Colleen Doolan showed her speed in the 200-yard butterfly, clocking a time of 2:09.52 and finishing first overall (nine points). The Northbrook, Illinois, native also finished second overall in the 500 freestyle (5:25.06, four points). Sophomore Christiana Hug also joined the fun, as she collected a first-place finish (nine points) in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 19:11.93.
Junior Meghan Casey was ready to compete, as the Mequon, Wisconsin, native finished first overall in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.03, nine points) and second in the 200 breaststroke (2:35.94, four points). Freshman Rica Generoso continues to compile a tremendous rookie season, as she was the first to touch the wall in the 100-yard freestyle (nine points), clocking a time of 56.01. The Clinton, Connecticut, native also finished third overall in the 200 freestyle (2:05.10, three points).

Senior diver Kylie Reiman finished first overall in the 3-meter diving event (301.13, nine points) and second in the 1-meter diving event (277.95, four points). The fourth-year collegiate star qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Qualifier, as she made her second required score.
The Jumbos' depth has been on display all season and it continued on Saturday, as the squad claimed the top-four slots in the 100 breaststroke, as junior Anna Kimura placed second (1:11.56, four points), senior captain Sarah Elghor finished third (1:11.79, three points) and freshman Katherine Brown placed fourth (1:12.50). Kimura was also the team's top-finisher and finished second overall in the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.33, four points).
Junior Kelsey Gallagher finished second overall and was the team's top-performer in the 200-yard backstroke (2:14.26, four points), while the Sykesville, Maryland, native also tallied a second-place nod in the 100 backstroke (1:03.21, four points).
The Jumbos also received strong performances on the individual side from sophomore Ailish Dougherty (second in the 1,650 freestyle, 19:14.53), junior Eleanor Rimmerman (third in the 200 butterfly, 2:24.45), Bernstein (third in the 50 freestyle, 26.03), junior Caitlyn Leo (third in the 100 freestyle, 58.99), freshman Olivia Leoni (third in the 500 freestyle, 5:27.67), sophomore Alexandra Good (third in the 100 butterfly, 1:02.58), junior Lindsay Partin (team's top-finisher and second overall in the 200-yard individual medley, 2:23.73) and freshman Stephanie Pon (third in the 200 IM, 2:24.34).
The Jumbos' collected two third-place finishes in relay events, as junior Alli Dorneo, Elghor, sophomore Madeline Lee and Leoni finished third in the 200 medley relay (1:55.78, two points), and Generoso, Hug, Doolan and Good placed third in the 200 freestyle relay (1:43.51).
The Jumbos will compete at the Middlebury Invitational on Friday (Jan. 27) – Saturday (Jan. 28) in Middlebury, Vermont.
