Women's Swimming and Diving Finish Third After Day One of MIT Invitational

Doolan was on the team that took second in the 800 freestlye relay.

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Tufts University women's swimming and diving team finished in third place out of seven teams after the first day of the MIT Invitational. They wrapped up the day with a team score 141.

There were three event finals on the day, two swimming and one diving. The first was the 800 freestyle relay. A Jumbo team of Abby Claus, Hannah Truslow, Grace Goetcheus, and Colleen Doolan took second place.

Five Tufts women competed in the 1650 freestyle. Rhys Empey was the team's top finisher. Amber Chong was the top Jumbo in the one-meter dive.

The competition continues tomorrow with preliminary rounds beginning at 10 a.m.
