CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior diver Kylie Reiman of the Tufts University women's swimming and diving team placed 17th overall out of 27 divers in Region 3 (Northeast/North) during the 1-meter diving event at the NCAA Division III Diving Regional Championship on Friday at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Reiman has competed at the regional championship in three consecutive seasons, dating back to her sophomore campaign in 2014-15, as the 17th-place finish in the 1-meter competition at the regional event is the best of her career. The Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, native recorded a career-high score of 402.60 with 11 clean dives.
Maura Sticco-Ivins of Wellesley College earned individual-champion honors in the event, boasting a score of 471.80. Ariana Ross of Williams College was the top-performer in the event from the NESCAC Conference, finishing second overall with a mark of 463.10. The top-seven performers during the two-day event will advance to the NCAA Division III Championships at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas, on March 15-18.
Reiman has shown improvement every year at the regional competition, as she placed 22nd off the 3-meter board (340.35) and 25th in the 1-meter competition (388.60) during her debut on the regional stage in 2015. As a junior, she made strong strides, grabbing 19th-place honors in the 1-meter event (369.20) and 20th-place acknowledgment in the 3-meter event (364.95).
The senior standout is no stranger to competing in high-intensity meets, as she has competed in the NESCAC Championships during every year of her collegiate career, ranging from 2014-17. At the 2017 NESCAC Championships, Reiman placed seventh and eighth overall, respectively, in the finals of the 1-meter (394.15) and 3-meter events (374.10), totaling 45 points in the two events.
Reiman additionally performed sensationally at the 2015 and 2016 NESCAC Championships, placing fourth off the 1-meter board (398.00) and sixth in the 3-meter competition (350.00) in 2015. At the 2016 conference championship, she claimed sixth-place accolades in the 3-meter event (375.30) and eighth-place recognition in the 1-meter competition (347.30).
Reiman will participate in the 3-meter event at the regional championship on Saturday, with competition starting at noon and lasting until 2:45 p.m.
