Kurtz Swims NCAA B Cut in 100 Breaststroke at February Invitational

WIILLIAMSTOWN – Junior Lily Kurtz of the Tufts University women's swimming team was the lone Jumbo to compete in the February Invitational hosted by Williams College on Sunday.

Kurtz was one of three entries in the 100 breaststroke and won the race with a 1:04.54 time. That mark is under the NCAA B standard of 1:04.60 and puts Kurtz into contention for a berth into the NCAA Championships.

The mark is her season-best and just 0.05 off her career-best 1:04.49 from last year's NESCAC meet.

The field for the 2020 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina March 18-21 is scheduled to be released on March 1.
