CHESTNUT HILL - The Tufts University women's swimming & diving team was in action for the first time in 2022 at Boston College on Friday night.
The 800 freestyle relay team of Katelin Isakoff, Abby Claus, Claire Brennan and Mary Hufziger got the meet off to a good start for the Jumbos. They finished second with a strong combined time of 7:39.03.
In the 50 butterfly, graduate student Mary Laurita finished in second place with a time of 26.26 seconds, while Jillian Cudney placed second place in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.18 seconds. In the 50 breaststroke, it was Abby Miller who finished in second place, earning a time of 31.25 seconds.
Isakoff, along with being a part of the second-place 800 freestyle relay team, earned second place in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:05.62.
Among some other top times for Tufts at the meet was Abby Claus in the 100 yard individual medley (1:00.55) and 100 backstroke (58.45), Lara Wujciak (pictured) in the 50 backstroke (27.57) and Laurita in the 100 butterfly (57.93).
Tufst fell to the Division I Eagles 231-68 in the meet.
Next, the Jumbos will travel to MIT on Saturday for a 1 pm start.
