WATERVILLE, Maine - Lara Wujciak (pictured) of the Tufts University women's swimming & diving team missed the school record in the 200 butterfly by the smallest of margins today while competing in an invitational at Colby College.
Wujciak swam 2:01.78 in the 200 fly, just 0.01 off the 2:01.77 school record recorded by Amy Socha at the 2020 conference championships. Wujciak's time was also well under the 2:05.61 NCAA B cut for the event in 2022, as she was attempting to qualify for the upcoming NCAA Championships.
Also in the 200 fly today, Valeria Strohmeier had a 2:04.51 time that was under the NCAA B cut.
Another NCAA B time was recorded by Tufts' Sahar Mumtaz in the 500 freestyle with a 5:00.30 mark today, just under the 5:00.62 B cut.
Cierra McCarty was also swam a 4:32.37 in the 400 individual medley at today's invitational.
