INDIANAPOLIS - The Tufts Men's Swimming & Diving 200 freestyle relay earned honorable mention All-American honors on the second day of the NCAA Championship Meet Thursday.
Jumbos Peter LaBarge, Soeren Euvrard, Victor Vollbrechthausen and Nate Tingen combined on a 1:21.54 time for 15th place. It's the second honorable mention All-American accolade of the week for LaBarge and Tingen, who were part of the 11th-place 200 medley relay on Wednesday. Euvrard and Vollbrechthausen earn their first honorable mention All-American awards of the meet.
Tufts freshman Ethan Schreier swam a 48.93 in the 100 butterfly on Thursday for 30th place, while Vollbrechthausen's 1:40.14 in the 200 freestyle prelims earned him 32nd overall.
The Jumbo 400 medley relay was disqualified due to an early take-off.
With 17 team points scored through two days, Tufts is tied for 21st at the meet.
Tomorrow's action features Schreier in the 200 butterfly, Eric Lundgren and Tingen in the 100 backstroke, Zach Lawrence in one-meter diving and the Jumbo 800 freestyle relay.
The meet is being held at the IUPUI IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana through Saturday.
