Travis Clauson shot even-par 71 to lead the Jumbo golf team on the first day of the Williams Fall Invitational on Saturday.
Tufts is in ninth place out of 18 teams with their four-best scores totaling 301 strokes. RPI leads the tournament with a 295 score today.
Clauson is third individually after 18 holes. Freshman Holden Kittlelberger scored second for the Jumbos with a three-over 74 which is tied for 11th among the 94 individuals who played today.
Kemp Bassett's 77 and a 79 from
Jack Meehan also counted towards Tufts' team total today.
RPI's Thomas Fraser and Skidmore's Jack Walsh both shot one-under 70 to lead the field through Saturday.
Sunday's second round begins at 9:00 am.
