WILLIAMSTOWN - The Tufts University golf team moved up to a seventh-place finish at the Williams Fall Invitational played at the par-71 Taconic Golf Club on Sunday.
The Jumbos were ninth after Saturday's round, but moved up two spots today. Their four-best scores today totaled to 303 strokes, which combined with their 301 yesterday results in a 604 tournament total.
Graduate student
Travis Clauson shot two-over 73 today to finish with a two-day 144 score that tied for second place individually. He tied with RPI's Thomas Fraser (70-74-144).
Junior
Jack Meehan fired a 73 today to tie Clauson for the Tufts low score. Freshman
Holden Kittelberger shot 78 and senior
Kemp Bassett came in at 79 to round out the Jumbo scoring on Sunday.
RPI won the tournament with a 583 score (295-288). Skidmore's Jack Walsh was the medalist, finishing at 143 after today's two-over 73.
