MIDDLEBURY, VT (September 10, 2023) - The Jumbo golf team improved its score by nine strokes over yesterday's round while finishing 16th at the Duke Nelson Invitational Sunday at Middlebury College.
Tufts' four-best scores totaled 303 on Sunday, better than the 312 they accumulated on Saturday. Today sophomore

Conor O'Holleran and
Jack Meehan had 76's and junior Eri Lancellotti came in at 77. Tufts' fifth scorer today was freshman
Brendan Roy (78).
Despite their improvement today, the Jumbos were unable to climb in the team standings. They were 16th at the end of Saturday and finished there today out of 24 total teams.
O'Holleran had Tufts' top finish for the tournament with a 153 score for the two rounds. He tied for 38th out of 122 golfers. Kittelberger, who birdied back-to-back holes late in his round to finish at 74 today, was a 153 for the weekend to tie for 45th. Lancellotti and Roy both had three birdies in their Sunday rounds.
Babson College won the tournament with a two-day team score of 577. They were eight in front of second-place Trinity College (585).Â
Endicott College's Brady Burke shot 69 for the second straight day and won medalist honors with a four-under 138 for the tournament.
The Jumbos will play at Williams College's fall tournament next weekend (Sep. 16-17).
