MEDFORD, MA (January 24, 2024)Â -- After making it to the NCAA finals last year the Tufts University men's lacrosse team was picked No. 2 in the Inside Lacrosse Top 20 Poll.
Salisbury University who took down Tufts in the NCAA Championship is ranked No.1 in the poll. NESCAC rivals Bowdoin College, Middlebury College, and Amherst College all rank below Tufts in the upcoming season.
Tufts finished the 2023 campaign 22-1 winning the NESCAC Championship and making a great run for the national championship. Tufts will play a total of eight teams in the top 20 this season among those teams are No. 3 Christopher Newport on March 6 and they will play No. 4 RIT. Tufts defeated RIT last year in the NCAA semifinals 15-11.
The Jumbos will also take on Union College who was picked No.12, as well as No. 17 Stevens and No. 20 Babson College.Â
The 2024 season will begin on March 2, as the Jumbos will take on Conn. College on Bello Field at Tufts University.
