NORTHAMPTON, MA (April 12, 2024) -- The Tufts University women's outdoor track and field started action at the two-day Carla Coffey Invitational on Friday night, as the Jumbos posted sixth after three events at Smith College's Outdoor Track.
In the women's pole vault, first-year
Emma Gall posted an outdoor season best as she finished sixth with a height of 3.55 meters to score three points.
Lena Tang was 12th in the pole vault with a 3.10 meter height on Friday, while
Amelie Wickham was 16th with a height of 3.10 meters.
First-year
Jackie Wells was the top performer in the women's javelin as she was seventh with a throw of 30.73 meters for two points. In the hammer throw, junior
Liz Graham was fifth after chalking up a 39.07 meter toss for points.
Ravyn Tammiruusu was ninth in the hammer with a 37.40 meter mark, while
Maja Nielsen was 10th with a mark of 36.39 meters. First-year
Ceci LaBarge was also 12th after chalking up a mark of 36.39 meters.
The remainder of the events in the Carla Coffey will be Saturday, as running events and the remainder of the field events start at 11:00 a.m. at Smith College.
