WILLIAMSTOWN, MA (April 21, 2024) -- The Tufts University men's golf team played in the final day of the Williams Spring Invitational on Sunday morning, the match was played at the par 71 Taconic Golf Club.
The Jumbos finished day two going 17 over 302, finishing with a final team score of 41 over 609. Sophomore
Holden Kittelberger had a great day on the links as he shot one under par 70 finishing the tied for 8. Kittelberger started the front nine without a bogey and saved for par all nine holes. On the back nine Kittelberger had four birdies including two straight on holes 15 and 16, he also saved for three pars, Kittelberger shot bogey or worse only twice today.
First-year
Brendan Roy finished day two one over as he tied for 18. Roy saved for par eight times on the front nine finishing the front one over 36. On the back nine Roy dropped two birdies one on hole 14 and another on 18. Roy finished the back nine even 36, he finished the day with 13 pars. Senior
Jack Meehan finished day two nine over and was tied for 26. Meehan had one birdie on the day coming at par 5 hole 10.
Sophomore
Reed Bodley finished day two eight over and was tied for 29. Bodley had one birdie on the day coming on hole 18. First-year
Nick McCabe finished the day nine over and was tied for 44. First year
JP Noone finished nine over 80 and finished 57.
The host, Williams College finished in first place with a team total of 18 over 586. Trinity College finished second at 20 over 588, and Hamilton College finished third at 27 over 601.
Up next the Jumbos will compete in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championships in Brunswick Maine Saturday, April 27. They will compete at par 72 Brunswick Golf Club.
