This group led the Jumbo squad to the NESCAC title, Tufts' first since 2012. They combined for a team score of 30 which was well ahead of second-place Williams College (57), and was Tufts' best score ever at the meet.
Reisner was the runner-up, Gulbransen was fourth, McCaleb placed sixth and Cummings was seventh at the race, which was held at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut on November 1. Aouchiche was the 11th-place finisher.
Tufts' five All-Conference honorees this fall are the program's most since five members of the 2003 team were honored. That squad had one first-team recipient and four second-team winners.
This is the second year in a row that Aouchiche and Cummings have earned All-NESCAC honors. They were second-team recipients a year ago, and are the first two-time All-NESCAC recipients on the team since Water Wagude (2021 & 2022). Aouchiche was also Rookie of the Year in 2022. Reisner, Gulbransen and McCaleb are earning the award for he first time. Reisner also has an All-NESCAC honor from last year's track & field championship to his credit.
Coach Norton and the staff directed the Jumbos from a fourth-place finish at last year's conference meet to the title this year. Tufts is ranked fourth nationally in the last US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll, it's highest spot ever. The Jumbos are first in the East Region rankings.
