Golf Finishes 2025 NESCAC Championship in Eighth

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA (April 27, 2025) - The Tufts University men's golf team finished eighth at the New England Small College Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship following a solid round three at the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown.

Brendan Roy saw the most dramatic improvement of any Jumbo on day three of the competition. The sophomore improved his individual position by eleven spots as he jumped from 28th to 17th individually. He bounced back in the front nine after a pair of bogies with a birdie on hole six, keeping it even the rest of the way out. He led off the back nine with a birdie on hole 10, but a triplet of bogies across the final few holes saw him fall to three over par, but still the best score for Tufts in round three.

JP Noone matched Roy with by tying him for 17th place, but finished three strokes behind his teammate on day three. The sophomore Noone picked up a pair of birdies on holes four and nine to stay afloat, but a rough back nine saw him slide back to six strokes over par. He still managed to improve his standing by six spots.

Eric Lancellotti labored through the front nine, but bounced back with birdies on holes 10 and 14 to salvage a +7 day three. He finished the competition in 38th place individually, a five spot improvement from yesterday's standings. 

Holden Kittleberger earned a birdie on hole one, but stayed above par for the remainder of the round. He finished round three at nine strokes over par for 34th place individually.

Reed Bodley finished the competition in 43rd, outside of the scoring positions for Tufts following a +10 round three.

The Jumbos take eighth place in the conference tournament, 17 strokes ahead of ninth place Wesleyan and eight strokes behind seventh place Bates.
