MEDFORD, MA (May 15, 2025) -- The No. 1 Tufts University women's lacrosse team continued to collect individual accolades Wednesday evening, as USA Lacrosse Magazine announced that six Jumbo women's lacrosse players earned All-American accolades.
Forty-nine schools are represented in this year's list, though it's Tufts that leads the country with six All-American nods, led by first-team midfielder
Madeline Delaney.
Junior attack
Allie Zorn was named to the Second Team, while senior attacks
Margie Carden and
Ella Lesperance, senior draw
Genna Gibbons and senior goalkeeper
Pascale de Buren all received Third Team accolades.
Delaney, who is a candidate for national Midfielder of the Year in her graduate year, has started all 19 games for the Jumbos while doing it on both ends of the field. Delaney has scored a career-high 32 goals while also posting 87 draw controls, 20 ground balls and causing seven turnovers. Delaney was a First Team All-NESCAC honoree.
Zorn leads the Jumbos in points this season, as her 55 goals and 20 assists is among the top three in the NESCAC. Zorn has two game winners and is tied for the team lead in free position goals with 20.
Carden returns to the All-American list once again, as the all-time leading scorer in Tufts women's lacrosse history has potted 58 goals to go with 14 assists. Her 20 free position goals is tied for the most on the team with Zorn, and he also picked up 20 ground balls while scoring a team-high four game-winning goals.
Lesperance is the third head of the potent attacking trio for the Jumbos, as she leads the Jumbos in assists with 36 while she is one of five 30-goal scorers on the team. Lesperance is also one of the most efficient players on the team, as she is one of just two players with more points than shots this year.
Gibbons led the NESCAC in draw controls with 128, which established a new school record in the category. Gibbons is the all-time leader in draw controls for the Jumbos with 264. She also ranks first in ground balls and caused turnovers on the team.
Tufts senior goalkeeper has had her best season for the Jumbos this year, as de Buren has stopped 52.1 percent of the shots on goal while starting all 19 games for Tufts. She has allowed just 6.94 goals per game, and has double-digit saves in five games this year.
USA Lacrosse All-Americans are selected by staff and contributors.
Tufts will host Pomona-Pitzer College Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the NCAA Third Round on Bello Field in Medford, MA on the campus of Tufts.
