SOMERVILLE, MA (September 22, 2025) – Friday evening, Tufts University football announced a new team member, signing14-year-old Mabray through Team IMPACT.
Mabray, officially signed with the team today at Ellis Oval on the campus of Tufts University in Somerville. He will participate in many activities with Tufts, including games, practices and other team events, over the next two years.
Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multiyear program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.
Tufts has worked with Team IMPACT for the past 13 years, matching 33 children across its 18 teams on campus. Even more noteworthy, Mabray is the fourth Team IMPACT teammate to be matched with Coach Civetti's football team at Tufts. This is the first time this has happened in Team IMPACT history.
