BRUNSWICK, ME (September 27, 2025) - The Tufts University men's golf team started strong at the Bowdoin Invitational on the Brunswick Golf Course as senior
Holden Kittelberger's eagle on hole 16 helped the Jumbos secure third place overall after round one on Saturday.

Kittelberger played through an even front nine, taking birdies on holes three and seven before a double bogey on hole eight held him up. His fortunes completely flipped after hole 16, when the senior veteran finished the par five hole in just three strokes. Another birdie on hole 18 for good measure saw him finish even with par afer round one for fourth place individually.

Junior
Nick McCabe was two strokes behind Cahill-Sanidas. It was an up and down day for him as he took birdies on holes two and 16, but finished with five bogies. He sits 24th overall individually after round one.
Senior
JP Noone was the last scoring golfer for the Jumbos at five strokes over par. His first time around was highlighted by birdies on holes five, 13 and 14. Five bogies and a double bogey held him up, seeing him sit in 29th place overall.
Also competing for the Jumbos was junior
Brendan Roy. He sits in 48th place at seven strokes over par following round one.
Tufts sits in third place overall at 11 strokes over par, placing them tied with Williams for the position. They sit a stroke behind the hosts Bowdoin in second place, and the Amherst Mammoths sit in first place five strokes ahead of Tufts.
