MEDFORD, MA (May 7, 2026) – The Tufts University golf team posted three golfers on the All-New England Small College Athletic Conference teams after a team runner-up finish in the NESCAC Championships ended their season. Juniors
JP Noone and
Brendan Roy were both selected to the All-NESCAC Secon Team, while senior
Holden Kittelberger earned All-NESCAC First Team honors for their strong contributions to the program.
Holden Kittelberger collected his third consecutive All-Conference award. His first team selection is the first of his career and is well earned after putting together four top 10 individual finishes on the season. In the first half of the season, the senior placed sixth in the Bowdoin Invitational with a one over par total across the two round event. Also in the fall, Kittelberger tied for ninth in the Hamilton College Invitational with an eight over par score. The Texas native notched two top five finishes in the spring with a tied for fourth place finish in the Swarthmore Invitational and the NESCAC Championships. Kittelberger shot eight over in the Swarthmore Invitational and carded a 10 over par total in the conference championships. He ended the season ranked 14th in the region, 214th nationally, and had an average stroke total of 73.5.
Brendan Roy picked up his first career All-NESCAC honor with his Second Team nod. Roy gathered four top 10 individual finishes as well throughout the season. In the fall, Roy captured a fifth place finish in the Williams Invitational and a tied for ninth place finish in the Hamilton Invitational. In the Williams Invitational Roy registered an impressive four over par across the three round event with a one under par score in the middle 18. In the second half of the season, the Sterling native tied for ninth in the Trinity (Conn.) Invitational and earned a team-best fourth place ranking in the NESCAC Championships. Roy ranks 19th in the region, 272
nd nationally, and finished with an average score of 74.3
JP Noone earned his second consecutive All-Conference award after four top 15 individual finishes during his junior campaign. In the opening half of the season, Noone tied for 15th in the Duke Nelson Invitational and tied for fifth in the Hamilton Invitational with a six over par score. In the spring session, the Weston native tallied two more top 15 placements with a tied for ninth place ranking in the Trinity Invitational and tied for 13th place finish in the NESCAC Championships. Noone finished the year ranked 27th in the region with a scoring average of 74.8.
The Jumbos capped off their season with a runner-up finish in the NESCAC Men's Golf Championships and will look to improve with two of the three All-NESCAC golfers returning next season.
