Regnery Named to 2026 Tewaaraton Award Watch List

Written by Nicole Kuhl, Tufts Sports Information Intern

MEDFORD, MA (February 11, 2026) -- Tufts University men's lacrosse senior attack Jack Regnery has been named to the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Men's Watch List, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation earlier this week.

Widely regarded as the preeminent individual honor in college lacrosse, the Tewaaraton Award is presented annually to the top male and female player in the United States. Founded in 2001, the award recognizes excellence on the field while honoring the sport's Native American heritage. Selection committees are composed of premier collegiate coaches from across the country.

Regnery stands out nationally as the only Division III player named to the 2026 Men's Watch List, placing him among the elite players in all of college lacrosse, regardless of division. The senior is one of 50 men's players selected from 26 schools, a group that features standout individuals from perennial Division I powers such as Syracuse, Maryland, Duke, Virginia, and North Carolina.

His inclusion spotlights both his individual impact and the continued national prominence of the Tufts men's lacrosse program. As a senior attack, Regnery has been a dynamic offensive leader for the Jumbos, combining scoring ability, playmaking vision, and leadership on and off the field. His presence on the watch list represents the respect he has earned across all levels of collegiate lacrosse.

Players not included on the initial watch list will have additional opportunities to be added in March, with the field later narrowed to 25 nominees in April.

Five finalists will be announced in early May, and the 2026 Tewaaraton Award recipient will be revealed live on May 28 at the Tewaaraton Ceremony in Washington, D.C.
