MEDFORD, MA (February 11, 2026) — A remarkable 20 Tufts University field hockey players were announced today as members of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad for the 2025 season.
Sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.

Eastburn, Pittignano and Sousa are each four-year members of NFHCA National Academic Squad. The 20 honorees represent 91-percent of head coach
Tina Mattera's Tufts Field Hockey roster.
On the field, Tufts won the NCAA Division III National Championship this season with a 2-1 overtime victory against Johns Hopkins University.
