MIDDLETOWN, CT (February 12, 2026) - The Tufts University 800 freestyle relay A team swam an NCAA B cut as the NESCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships started at Wesleyan University on Thursday night.
The Jumbo foursome of senior
Madeleine Dunn, senior
Quinci Wheeler, junior
Elena Harrison and sophomore
Sweeney Su combined on a 7:32.91 time that is under the 7:37.07 NCAA B qualifying mark. It improves upon Tufts' previous season-best of 7:34.77. Tufts was third in the race with a mark that ranks 11th nationally as of Thursday night.
In the 800 free relay B contest tonight, the Tufts team was all sophomores as
Noa Chambers,
Alli Brown,
Clara Behling and
Sophia Knight put together a 7:41.65 for second in their heat and 13th overall.Â
The two Jumbo 800 free relay teams combined to score 76 points which puts Tufts second out of the 11 teams in the conference after one event.
The conference meet continues on Friday with a full day of action beginning with preliminaries at 10 AM and finals in the evening at 6 PM.
