MEDFORD, MA (April 22, 2026) – The Tufts University men's golf team will compete in the 2026 New England Small College Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championships as they will try to reclaim their Championship Title against nine other teams after finishing in eighth in last year's tournament. The Jumbos will play in the three round stroke play event on April 24-26 at Fox Hopyard Golf Club in East Haddam, Connecticut.

Tufts enters the postseason after finishing seventh out of 15 teams at the Emory University Invitational in a stacked field filled with five top 10 division three golf teams. Senior
Holden Kittelberger shot two over par in the each of the last two rounds to capture a 22nd place ranking individually.
The Jumbos earned their first NESCAC Championship Title during the 2024 season after finishing runner-up in the year prior.
Kittelberger paces the Jumbos for lowest adjusted scoring average with a 73.7 mark heading into the event. His best finish of the spring was a fourth place individual ranking in the three round Swarthmore College Invitational. Kittelberger currently sits as the 14th ranked golfer in the region and 249th in the country.
Brendan Roy follows slightly behind Kittelberger with an adjusted scoring average of 74.8 entering the tournament. The junior picked up his best individual finish of the spring in the Trinity (Conn.) Invitational with a ninth place finish. Roy shot a final round one under par 69 to guide him to his top 10 ranking. He ranks 21st regionally and 375th nationally.
JP Noone enters the conference championships with an adjusted scoring average of 75.0. Noone joined Kittelberger individually in the top 10 of the Swarthmore College Invitational with a ninth place finish. The junior carded an impressive one over par score of 72 in the opening round and shot two under par on the back nine of his third and final round to earn a top 10 finish.
Nick McCabe and
Jason Zawtocki will fill out the rest of the lineup for Tufts after each displayed promising potential in events this spring. McCabe shot three over par in the opening and final rounds of the Swarthmore Invitational to finish 34th in a field of 83 golfers. Zawtocki appeared in two events during the spring campaign and earned a seventh place finish in the Tim Brown Invitational. The first year shot just one over par in the second round with five birdies.
Tufts will tee off on Friday April 24 at 12:40 PM, with parings to be decided by random drawing.
