WINDSOR, CT (April 5, 2026) – The Tufts University men's golf team finished in fourth place in the two round Trinity (Conn.) College Invitational at Keney Park Golf Course in Windsor, Connecticut to follow up their third place finish last weekend.
After Tufts ended the first day tied for fourth, the Jumbos kept up their strong play to drop one stroke off of the previous day's score and maintain the fourth place position.
Brendan Roy tied his career-best round of 69 in round two after etching that mark in last weekend's invitational. The junior led the charge for the Jumbos with a ninth place finish individually and a two over par total across the 36 holes. The Sterling native dominated the course today with only one bogey in his impeccable round. Starting off with a two under par score on the front nine with birdies on the fourth and seventh holes, followed by a one over par score on the back to finish one under on the day.
Holden Kittelberger continued his strong play to start the spring campaign with a three over par total throughout the weekend, which was fueled by a dead even par score (70) on day two. The senior was up and down on the front nine with three bogeys and two birdies to collect a one over par score through nine holes. Kittelberger found a new level on the back with no bogey holes and a birdie on the 17th to finish with a stroke total of 70 on day two and climb from 25th to 13th individually.
Brooks Cahill-Sanidas registered a 31st place finish individually with an eight over par score throughout the tournament. After a strong first day, the sophomore struggled to find his rhythm in the second round as he finished with a stroke total of 77. Cahill-Sanidas showed no quit and finished his day with five straight pars.
JP Noone followed just behind Cahill-Sanidas with a nine over par mark and a 35th place ranking individually. The Weston native shot well early on day two with a birdie on hole one and three pars on the following three holes to finish just two over on the front. The junior notched two more birdies on the back nine to finish four over par (74) on the second day.
Nick McCabe capped off the scorecards for the Jumbos with a +17 total across the two days. The junior finished with a stroke total of 83 in round two with a birdie on the 12th hole for a 65th place finish individually.
Tufts finished five strokes behind the event hosts and NESCAC opponent Trinity (Conn.) (B) and seven strokes behind another NESCAC foe in Bowdoin. Hofstra took home the team win with an impressive seven over par total in the event. The Jumbos will compete in the Tim Brown Invitational at the Ballston Spa Country Club in Ballston Spa, NY next weekend.
