2018 (Junior): Played in four games for the Jumbos on their way to a 7-2 season… played special teams, recording two tackles in four games… attempted his first career pass from the quarterback position in an October victory over Bowdoin.
2017 (Sophomore): Back-up quarterback on the Jumbos' roster who saw special teams action.
2016 (Freshman): Member of the Jumbos team that finished the season with a 7-1 record and in second place in the NESCAC standings...saw time during the Jumbos 36-28 setback to Trinity.
Before Tufts: Starting QB for three seasons at Mountain Brook High School in Mountain Brook, AL, he ran the ball for 967 yards on 229 attempts, 4.22 yards per carry, and 11 TDs, and, passed for 4,211 yards, with a 63.5% completion rate and 33 TDs...Jacob was a multi-game Team Captain and three-time recipient of team Tip of The Spear leadership award...He was selected by the Alabama High School Athletic Association to the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star team...Three time Birmingham Metro Football Player of the Week Nominee by sports writers...Recipient of Player of the Week Award, Over The Mountain Quarterback Club...Named to the Birmingham News All-Hoover/South Team...Competed and named top ten QB at the 2014 U.S. Army National Combine, San Antonio, TX...Selected to the 2014 Elite 11 Qualifying Competition in Santa Monica, CA...Finalist and first runner-up at the David Cutcliffe QB College Competition, Duke University...Following graduation from Mountain Brook HS, Jacob completed a postgrad year at Loomis Chafee.
