WORCESTER - Sophomore Michael Blair (Wellesley, MA) of the Tufts men's outdoor track & field team placed ninth out of 25 competitors at the Holy Cross College Multi-Event Meet held on Wednesday and Thursday.
Blair totaled 5,128 points in the 10 events to finish 40 in front of 10th place Clay Kosack of Holy Cross and 40 behind eighth place Benjamin Roy (unattached). Blair scored 758 points in the high jump with a 6'4 3/4" mark (1.95m) that was the best in the field. He also scored 662 points with a time of 16.64 seconds in the 110 hurdles.
Jumbo freshman Andrew Osborne (Andover, MA) also competed in the Holy Cross Decathlon. He was 16th overall with 4,897 points. His best event was the 100 meter dash, which he finished in 11.72 seconds for second place out of the 25 competitors.
