MEDFORD - The Tufts women's outdoor track & field team hosted a small invitational at Dussault Track on Saturday prior to the beginning of the championship season next week.
The Jumbos had several of the top performances at the meet. First year Lauren Creath (Corte Madera, CA) came across the finish line after 5,000 meters in a 18:58.89 time to win an eight-woman race. Senior Amy Wilfert (Westborough, MA) was first out of 15 in the 800 meter run (2:20.22).
In the field events, senior Kanku Kabongo (Abington, MA) won a long jump with nine entries by reaching 16'7 3/4" (5.07m). Junior Ronke Oyekunle (Harvard, MA) was first of seven in the shot put at 39'7 1/4" (12.07m).
