With 44 seconds remaining in the period, the Mules pulled goaltender Matt Delaney (Houston, TX) in favor of an extra skater and it paid off when senior Dan Nelson (Northbrook, IL), scored at 19:30. Sophomores Jack Bartlett (Lynn, MA), and Nick Trepp (Greenwich, CT), picked up assists on the goal. However, the Mules were unable to net an equalizer and Tufts earned an important win.
