PRINCETON, NJ - Junior Jeff Marvel (Naples, FL) and sophomore Ben Wallis (Dover, NH) took advantage of the opportunity to compete against stellar competition from all divisions in the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton on Friday.
Marvel placed 21st of 71 in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.98. That mark ranks in the top ten nationally and will almost certainly qualify for the NCAA Championship.
Wallis recorded a time of 9:28.23 in the steeplechase to place 39th. His time ranks in the top 30 nationally so far this season.
Marvel and Wallis will look to carry the momentum from these performances into the championship season, which begins next Saturday with the NESCAC Championship at Bates.
