LOWELL - The Jumbo men's outdoor track and field team tallied five top-three finishes in field events at the un-scored George Davis Invitational at UMass Lowell on Saturday.

Junior Bryson Hoover-Hankerson notched the only individual victory of the day for Tufts, as he leaped 21'1 ¼" (6.43m) in the long jump. He was backed by senior Allan Yau in fourth (20'6 ½" / 6.26m) and junior Alex Karys in fifth (20'4 ¼" / 6.20m). In the pole vault, Yau and Karys both cleared the bar at 11'5 ¾" (3.50m) to tie for second.
Sophomore Thomas Wang cleared 5'10 ½" (1.79m) in the high jump for fourth. Back on the runway, freshman Stefan Duvivier recorded a distance of 42'0" (12.80m) in the triple jump for third.
Senior Brian Williamson fared well in two throwing events, as he placed third in the shot put (49' 5" / 15.06m) and fourth in the hammer (165' 1" / 50.32m).
On the track, the 4x400 meter relay squad of juniors Francis Goins and Alex Kasemir, sophomore Nick Usoff and freshman Andrew DiMaiti clocked a time of 3:23.90 for the win. DiMaiti also notched a second-place finish in the open 400 with his time of 49.37.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, freshman Ty Enos (10:04.14), sophomore Bobby McLaughlin (10:19.07), junior Nick Adams (10:23.76) and senior Joe Poupard (10:37.12) finished in the second through fifth positions.
Junior Alex Apostolides recorded a season-best time of 1:57.72 in the 800 for fifth place. Senior Alex Sheltzer (1:57.92) and freshman Peter McCawley (1:58.67) took sixth and seventh, respectively.
Next weekend, coach Ethan Barron's team will travel to Williams College to compete in the NESCAC Championship.
