Men's Track 4x4 Runs Season Best at IC4A Championships

BOSTON - The Tufts Men's Track 4x400-meter relay ran in the IC4A Championships at Boston Unviersity on Saturday.

The Jumbo foursome of sophomore Andrew DiMaiti, senior tri-captain Alex Kasemir, junior Nick Usoff, and senior Veer Bhalla put together a time of 3:16.75. Due to the banked track at BU, the time was convereted to a 3:19.90. That ranks 21st on the NCAA Division III performance list.

Though the time is a season-best in the event for the Jumbos, it will not be enough to get the 4x4 into next weekend's NCAA Championships in Grinnell, Iowa.

The 4x4 were the only Jumbos in action on Saturday. Their time came in the fourth heat of the preliminaries and did not qualify for the final. The Jumbos were 13th overall out of 20 teams in the race.

The Jumbos will now await the release of the official entries into the NCAA Championships, due tomorrow.
