LA CROSSE, WIS. – The Tufts University men's outdoor track & field team began NCAA Division III Championship competition on Thursday at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Senior co-captain Drew DiMaiti was the lone Jumbo in action in the 400-meter hurdles preliminaries. He did not qualify for the final with his time of 54.83 seconds in the heats. He placed 17th overall.
On day two of the NCAA's tomorrow, Tufts will start with both senior Stefan Duvivier and junior Henry Hintermeister at 12 noon ET. Duvivier, the 2018 NCAA indoor high jump champ, is entered in a straight final for the outdoor high jump and Hintermeister has the prelims and final for the javelin throw on Friday.
Junior Josh Etkind also competes for Tufts on Friday. He will run in the 110-meter hurdles preliminaries at 4:10 p.m.
