Men's Track DMR Runs Nation's 16th-Best Time on Friday Night at BU

Freshman Nicholas Delaney ran the 1,600-meter leg of the DMR

BOSTON – A Tufts University foursome ran a top 20 national mark in the distance medley relay (DMR) at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday night.

In one of only two men's events at the meet on Friday, Tufts' foursome of freshman Collin O'Sullivan, junior Billy Witrock, junior Roman Lovell and freshman Nicholas Delaney teamed up for a 10:23.09 time in the DMR on BU's banked track. The race went off at 10:40 p.m. at the end of a long day of action at BU.

The Jumbos were ninth out of 18 foursomes at the meet. The time is currently ranked 16th on the Division III national list as of Saturday morning. It was the team's first DMR race of the 2019 season.

More Tufts competitors will be in action at BU as the full men's schedule takes place on Saturday. Some Jumbos will also be competing at the MIT Invitational on Saturday.
