SOMERVILLE - The Tufts Snowflake Classic returned for the first time since 2019 today at Dussault Track. The host Jumbos placed second out of 16 teams with five individuals winning events.
Indoor All-American Harry Rienecker-Found had his outdoor best in the high jump with 6'6 3/4 (2.00m) clearance to win the event. The mark is tied for seventh nationally as of Saturday evening.
Alex Lemieux, also an indoor All-Amerian, ran his outdoor-best in the 100 meters today with a 10.82 winning time. That ranks 26th natonally. He was also the runner-up in the 200 meters with a 22.07 finish that is 42nd in DIII.
Sam Gatti ran his first 10,000 meters at Tufts and finished in 31:44.12, which won the race and is the #32 time nationally. Joseph Harmon's mark of 32:10.3 is at #42 on the DIII list.
Carter Rosewell had his collegiate best in the long jump, a 22'3 3/4" (6.80m) that won the event and ranks 42nd in the country.
Petey Lemmon nearly broke into the top 50 with his 46'1 1/2" (14.06m) shot put today. Ross Miller, in his first collegiate competition, won the javelin throw out of 32 entries with a 164'8" (50.19m) heave.
MIT won the team competition with a 128.50 score.
