Rienecker-Found Wins NESCAC High Jump Title Again on Friday

NEW LONDON, CT (April 28, 2023) - Tufts University's Harry Rienecker-Found repeated as the conference champion in the high jump as the Tufts University men's outdoor track & field team got started at the 2023 NESCAC Championships on Friday at Connecticut College.

Rienecker-Found cleared 2.00m (6'6 ¾") to win out of 17 competitors in the event. The Jumbos scored 19 points overall in the high jump with three finishers in the top eight. Karsten Kropp was the runner-up at 1.95m (6'4 ¾") and Carter Rosewell placed eighth at 1.85m (6'0 ¾"). Edward Kiboma narrowly missed scoring as he was ninth also with a 1.85m mark.

Tufts' 24 team points on Friday led the Championship. Colby College and host Connecticut College were tied for second with 12 team points each.

In the pole vault, Jumbo Liam Garrison took fourth place with a 4.30m (14'1 ¼") effort. Hunter Farrell was just outside of scoring in ninth place (3.85m - 12'7 ½").

Tufts is defending its conference title won last year. The NESCAC meet resumes on Saturday starting at 9:00 am.
