MEDFORD, MA (May 17, 2024) -- The NCAA unveiled the selections for the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships late Friday evening, and the Jumbos earned five entries into next week's event at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Senior
Luke Botsford qualified 14th int he 200 meter dash with a time of 21.06, and also will run as the No. 9 seed in the 400 meter dash after posting a seed time of 47.08 seconds. Botsford will also help anchor the 4x400 meter relay team of
Alex Lemieux,
Neil Chowdhury,
Noah Turner and Botsford, as the group is No. 9 coming into the event with a seed time of 3:12.41.
Lemieux will jump in the long jump as well for the Jumbos, as his top leap of the season of 7.32 meters was 12th nationally on the year. The final competitor for the Jumbos will be senior
Carter Rosewell, who qualified for the decathlon with a point total of 6467.
Action starts Thursday, May 23 and goes through Saturday, May 25.
