Luke Botsford and
Carter Rosewell each earned All-American Second Team honors on Saturday, as the Tufts University men's track and field squad finished action at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach.
In the second day of the decathlon,
Carter Rosewell posted a new personal best for points as he finished 13th overall with 6,525 points. Rosewell ran a 15.61 in the 110 hurdles to start the day, earning 777 points. After a 27.88 meter toss in the discus throw, Roswell was fifth in the pole vault with a height of 4.30 meters for 702 points.
Rosewell added 442 points in the javelin throw, followed by 609 points in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:51.58 to earn 609 points to finish with the personal best point total.
In the 400 meters, Botsford finished just outside the finals after running a 47.54 in qualifying for ninth place. Despite the ninth-place finish, he still earned All-American second-team honors thanks to his time.
The Jumbos finished the weekend with three points, thanks to the sixth-place finish from
Alex Lemieux in the long jump. Tufts is tied for 33rd going into Saturday's final day of action.
