MEDFORD, MA (July 16, 2024) -- The Tufts University men's ice hockey team, coming off an appearance in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) title game in 2023 will look to build on that strong campaign as head coach
Pat Norton announced the upcoming 2024-25 slate.
The Jumbos will play 10 home games at the Malden Valley Forum this winter, nine of them coming against conference foes. The first four contests of the season for the Jumbos come in the conference, as Tufts travels to Wesleyan University on Friday, November 15 at 7 p.m. in Middletown, CT. The next day, Tufts takes on Trinity College at 3 p.m. in a rematch of the league championship game November 16.
Tufts returns home to host Middlebury College and Williams College November 22-23 in Malden, before taking on Babson College at home November 26 in the lone home non-conference game of the campaign.
The Jumbos will then head to upstate New York for the North Country Tournament at SUNY Potsdam, taking on SUNY Canton in the opening game Saturday, November 30 at 7 p.m. before playing the next day in the championship game or consolation contest in Potsdam.
The Jumbos finish up the opening semester of action on December 6-7, traveling to Maine to battle Colby College December 6 at 7 p.m. before taking on Bowdoin College Saturday at 3 p.m. in Brunswick, ME. Tufts opens 2025 with a trip to the Sunshine State, competing in the Tampa Bay Classic January 3-4 in Tampa, FL.
Tufts returns home for four straight games, taking on Hamilton College January 17 at 7 p.m. before hosting Amherst College at 4 p.m. the next day January 18. Wesleyan and Trinity comes to the Forum January 24-25 in conference action, before heading to Middlebury and Williams on January 31 and February 1.
The three-game road trip finishes up with the first of a home-and-home with Connecticut College on Friday, February 7, with the return trip the next evening February 8 at home against the Camels.
Tufts last regular season road trip starts February 14 with a back-to-back at Hamilton and Amherst, before taking on Colby on February 21 at 7 p.m. and Bowdoin College at 4 p.m. February 22 to finish the regular season.
NESCAC Tournament action starts the next weekend, while the semifinals and finals will be played March 8-9 at the highest remaining seed.
