Dylan Moreno is in third place and junior
Ryder Kropiwnicki is seventh after four events of the heptathlon, which started the 2026 New England Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships at Tufts' Gantcher Center on Friday.
Moreno has compiled a 2514 score with his performances in the 60-meter dash, long jump, shot put and high jump today. Kropiwnicki has a 2464 total.
After a time of 7.36 seconds in the 60 (759 points), Moreno followed with 6.19m (20'3 ¾") distance in the long jump. The mark was third out of the 14 heptathlon competitors and a 628 score. He then placed second in the group for the shot put, taking 534 points for a 10.80m (35'5 ¼") heave. His clearance of 1.76m (5'9 ¼") in the high jump tied his PR and added 593 points.
Kropiwnicki tied his 60-meters PR with a time of 7.20 seconds (813 points) to get started. He then scored 606 for the long jump (6.09m – 19'11 ¾"), 501 in the shot put (10.26m – 33'8") and 544 in the high jump (1.70m – 5'7").
Southern Maine's Christian Burke leads the heptathlon through four events with a 2717 score.
The New England DIII Heptathlon will finish with the 60-meter hurdles, pole vault and 1000 meters on Saturday, beginning at 11 AM back at Gantcher.
