MEDFORD, MA (March 24, 2026) -- Online media outlet D3hoops.com released its annual All-American list late on Tuesday afternoon, and Tufts University senior forward Scott Gyimesi was honored with another award as the Jumbo standout was named as a Third Team All-American after his stellar final season in the brown and blue.

Gyimesi becomes just the second D3hoops.com All-American ever, joining Luke Rogers who was also a Third Team All-American back in 2020. Gyimesi was one of three New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) players on the Third Team, as Jarrel Okorougo and Henry Vetter were both awarded a spot as well. Those three were the only NESCAC players on any of the five All-American teams.

The Fair Haven, NJ native finished his career as one of the all-time greats in program history, as he was recently named as a NABC All-American First Team honoree and the NABC All-District 1 Player of the Year./ He was also the NESCAC Player of the Year, while picking up All-NESCAC First Team honors for the third straight season.

He finished the 2025-26 season averaging 15.5 points and 9.1 rebounds per game, while dealing with injuries late in the season. He tallied 49 career double-doubles during his tenure at Tufts, and finished with 1308 points and 949 rebounds in his historic career. His rebounding total is tops all-time at Tufts, while his 1308 points ranks him 13th in program history. Gyimesi shot 57.5 percent for his career, while also making nearly 40 percent of his three-point attempts.

Gyimesi helped lead the Tufts squad to the program's first NCAA Quarterfinal appearance since the 2016 season this year, as Tufts picked up wins over Penn State Harrisburg, Catholic and Wesleyan University before falling to Trinity 69-66 in the Elite 8 round. Still, Gyimesi was part of the winningest senior classes in program history, helping lead the Jumbos to 20-plus wins in four straight seasons for the first time ever.

Tufts finished its 2025-26 campaign 23-6 overall and 8-2 in the NESCAC.
