MEDFORD, MA (April 27, 2026) – Sophomore right fielder
Jack Kamin has been scorching hot at the plate all season and continued that trend this week as the Jumbos commanded a 3-1 record in games against Roger Williams and NESCAC foe Trinity (Conn.). He was named as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Baseball Player of the Week for his standout performance.
Kamin is the second Jumbo to earn a NESCAC weekly honor as a fielder as
Tate Bannish obtained the weekly award on April 6. Kamin has been the most consistent bat for Tufts this season with a team-leading batting average of .446, which ranks second in the conference. The sophomore also sits at second in the NESCAC with an impressive OPS of 1.125 and ranks third in SLG% with a .685 clip.
This week, the Shrewsbury native was a nightmare to opposing pitchers as he went 8-for-15 at the dish with five runs scored, four RBIs, three doubles, two stolen bases, and a home run. In a three game NESCAC series against Trinity, Kamin was 6-for-11 at the plate to help the Jumbos clinch the top seed in the upcoming NESCAC Tournament.
With hits in all four games this week, Kamin extended his hit streak to an impressive 18 games, which surpassed Peter DeMaria's 2022 hit streak mark of 17 games. The sophomore also posted multiple hits in three of the four games this week.
The Jumbos will wrap up their regular season on Wednesday at home against WPI at 3:30 PM.
