Summary

Biography

2016 (Junior): Took the field in two games for the Jumbos as the team finished 7-1 and in second place in the NESCAC standings...was a starter at safety before a season-ending shoulder injury...turned in seven tackles to help the defense during the season...helped the Jumbos 17-14 season-opening win under the lights against Weslesyan with seven tackles...closed out the season by playing in the Jumbos 48-25 win over Middlebury. 

2015 (Sophomore): Appeared in all eight games...made 20 total tackles on the season...highest single-game output was six tackles in the win over Williams on Oct. 24th....also returned one punt in the win over Middlebury.

2014 (Freshman): Appeared in three games for the Jumbos his freshman season…an instant contributor on special teams, he recorded two tackles and made an impact blocking.

Before Tufts: Played for Wilton High School…was named First Team All-State at defensive back his senior year…All-Area MVP…named to the All-FCIAC First Team at defensive back…also played baseball.

Personal: Son of Steve and Marni Phillips…has three brothers, Ryan (24), Kyle (17) and Drew (16).
