PRIOR TO TUFTS: At Christian Brothers Academy, he was a three-year letter-winner in football and baseball...He competed as a kicker and punter in football and as an outfielder and first baseman in baseball...He earned First Team All-Section honors in football for three consecutive years, was named to the All-State Team twice, and earned All-Section honors in baseball twice...He finished his baseball career with a .320 batting average and holds the Section 2 all-time record for PATs in a season with 76, while recording 29 touchbacks in a single season...His football teams captured two Section 2 championships and finished as state championship runners-up once, while the baseball team won a Suburban Council regular-season championship...Academically, he was named to the Brothers List for eight semesters with a 95+ GPA and served as Cadet Colonel, the highest-ranking position in the 360-cadet JROTC program, where he served as Brigade Commander.
